About Me and My Cards

I am Ruth living in West London with my hubby of 28 years and our three adult sons. I enjoy craft work of many kinds and have recently started card making. I have decided to start this blog because once a card is made and given away, which is the whole purpose of making them of course, then I soon forget what it looked like. I also thought that other people out there may perhaps like to see them too.

Craft for Life Card

I made this for Cancer Research's 'Card for Life'. Also wanted to try out Cutterbug's french dots embossing folder.

Green and cupcakes

A simple card made from embelishments I recieved in a magazine this month. The yellow inset and greetings tag is made from parchment paper stuck onto white card. The frame and cakes are decoupaged onto the card.

Flowers and Fun

The tag on this card gives a touch of fun on a more sophisticated background. I discovered the pink flowers in my stash and found that they fitted beautifully on the greeny blue background flowers. A few pearly embelishments set of the remaining flowers beautifully, and the tag also in my stash completed the card which is pearlescient blue.

Bird card

I have recently started working with digi images. This is one of my first attempts. I am quite pleased with it.
The background card is pearlescient pink, unfortunately the sheen doesn't come out very well.

More butterflies

This card was made for my first online swap. The butterflies were made using my brand new butterfly stamp which I really like!

Experiments with handmade papers

These cards were made using hand made papers which I found bulky and difficut to use with my border punches.

Our Wedding Anniversary

I made this as a gift to my dh for our 28th Wedding Anniversary. I scanned baby photos of us both and then added a scanned pic of us on our wedding day. Hubby was thrilled with it!

We celebrated by going out for dinner. Can thoroughly recommend 'The Monkey Puzzle' at Chessington.
